"I am a repeat user. For both AngioLink and Spirus, the successful exit strategy was sale of the companies..."

President Spirus Medical and Founder, AngioLink Corporation.
About Spirus Medical / AngioLink Corporation
Spirus Medical has significantly eased physicians’ access to the gastrointestinal tract for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders through a breakthrough endoscopic device. Spirus was acquired in 2011 by Olympus Corporation.
AngioLink developed a vascular wound closure device designed specifically for procedures involving arterial entry, such as angiograms and angioplasties. AngioLink was acquired by Medtronic Inc. in 2005.
Both firms were founded by Steven Tallarida of STD/Med Inc. and funded in part by BioVentures Investors. Tallarida notes, “We worked with all the partners, but primarily with Marc Goldberg. He is very hands-on and we kept him apprised of day-to-day milestones in the company. With his focus on the financials we focused on the technology, and that’s a real benefit. With his knowledge of medical devices and technology development timelines, our communication was simple and straightforward enabling us to spend time on what we do best – technology development."
